  2. stanley12305 Says:

well if you don’t tell them now they will find out when you get to the mountain lol the best thing you could do at this point is just tell them exactly how it is, just break the ice.

If you’ve been lying only a bit (ie. You say you can freeride when you’ve only ever gone once but know the basics): “Hey, guys. This might make me sound like an idiot, but I’m really not as good as I claim to be sometimes when I’m snowboarding. I can get a little bit exaggerated when I’m talking about it because I’m super stoked on boarding, so I might need a bit of help, but I’m sure I’ll have it in no time.”

You’ve been lying alot (ie. You say you’re pretty much Shaun White when you’ve been snowboarding once and only know the basics): “Hey guys, I lied. I can’t snowboard worth sh*t. I was just super jealous of your skills because you’re soooooo good. Teach me to be just like you”.

You’ve never stepped on a snowboard in your life:
You’re screwed. Ham it up. “Guys, This is going to make me sound like a huge d*ck, but I’m a huge liar. I’ve never boarded in my life. I’m sorry, I just want to try and impressive you because you’re mega cool. I really want to learn though. Can you teach me?”
